Vipul Sheets and Plates is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel 316L Bars and Rods in Delhi, India. SS 316L is a low-carbon austenitic stainless steel that offers excellent resistance to corrosion, especially in chloride-rich and marine environments. Our 316L bars and rods are perfect for applications that require strong weldability and resistance to intergranular corrosion. Produced with precision and available in various sizes and finishes, these bars meet the needs of sectors like pharmaceuticals, chemical processing, marine engineering, and food processing. Vipul provides quality-tested products designed for durability and high performance in harsh environments.
Stainless Steel 316L contains approximately 16 to 18% Chromium, 10 to 14% Nickel, 2 to 3% Molybdenum, and ≤0.03% Carbon. Its tensile strength ranges from 485 to 620 MPa and yield strength from 170 to 240 MPa. With excellent elongation (around 40%) and strong resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, 316L is favored for welded assemblies. The low carbon content reduces carbide formation during welding, maintaining corrosion resistance. It also provides good creep resistance and suits both high and low-temperature applications. Its machinability, formability, and weldability make it perfect for structural and hygienic use.

Stainless Steel 316L contains molybdenum, which enhances resistance to chloride-induced pitting and corrosion, making it highly suitable for marine and coastal applications.
Yes, the low carbon content in 316L minimizes carbide precipitation during welding, ensuring excellent corrosion resistance even in heat-affected zones.
316L bars and rods are widely used in marine, chemical, pharmaceutical, food processing, and medical industries due to their corrosion resistance and durability.
Stainless Steel 316L Bars and Rods are widely used in marine and offshore structures, pharmaceutical equipment, and chemical processing plants due to their strong resistance to aggressive environments. They fit well in food and beverage production machinery, pulp and paper industries, and sanitary piping systems. In architectural and structural applications, they are used in railings, frames, and fasteners exposed to weather and corrosive agents. Their non-reactive surface makes them suitable for medical and surgical instruments. These bars also find use in the textile, dyeing, and fertilizer industries, where resistance to acids, moisture, and corrosive materials is crucial.

We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
