Vipul Sheets and Plates is a recognized supplier of Stainless Steel 316H Bars and Rods in Delhi, India. SS 316H is the high-carbon version of 316, designed for high-temperature structural applications. Its higher carbon content provides increased strength, especially at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for heat exchangers, superheaters, and pressure vessels. We offer 316H rods in various diameters and finishes to meet demanding mechanical and thermal performance needs. Vipul ensures reliable supply and thorough quality checks, delivering stainless steel products that meet international standards for thermal resistance, corrosion protection, and structural integrity.
Stainless Steel 316H contains 16 to 18% Chromium, 10 to 14% Nickel, 2 to 3% Molybdenum, and 0.04 to 0.10% Carbon. This higher carbon content improves strength, particularly in high-temperature applications. It delivers a tensile strength of 515 to 690 MPa and has a higher yield strength compared to 316/316L. SS 316H offers excellent creep, stress-to-rupture, and tensile strength at elevated temperatures. It also maintains good corrosion resistance in chloride and acidic environments. SS 316H is weldable, formable, and can be used in both hot and cold conditions. Its enhanced mechanical performance makes it ideal for high-pressure, thermal-intensive industries.

Stainless Steel 316H has a higher carbon content than regular 316, which provides improved strength and makes it ideal for high-temperature applications. It can withstand higher stress and heat, making it suitable for demanding industries like petrochemical and power generation.
Yes, Stainless Steel 316H is highly resistant to corrosion, especially in chloride-rich and high-temperature environments. The addition of molybdenum enhances its resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, making it suitable for marine and chemical industries.
Yes, Stainless Steel 316H is highly weldable, and it retains excellent strength and corrosion resistance even after welding. However, it is recommended to use low-carbon electrodes for welding to maintain its corrosion resistance and structural integrity.
Stainless Steel 316H Bars and Rods are widely used in high-temperature and pressure settings, such as power generation, boilers, superheaters, and heat exchangers. They fit well in petrochemical and refinery equipment, furnace components, and exhaust systems. Their strength at elevated temperatures makes them ideal for pressure vessels and structural parts in thermal power plants. 316H rods also serve in pharmaceutical processing, marine structures, and pulp and paper machinery where strength and corrosion resistance are crucial. The alloy’s durability and mechanical performance make it essential for critical components in energy, processing, and heavy engineering industries.
