Luois Metals distributes top–quality Stainless Steel 17‑7 PH bars and rods from Houston, offering a high-strength precipitation-hardening alloy suitable for aerospace, defense, and industrial use. This chromium-nickel stainless steel has outstanding mechanical properties and corrosion resistance. Manufactured to AMS 5658 and ASTM A705 specifications, our 17‑7 PH is available in a range of tempers (H900–H1150) and sizes, with cutting, polishing, and bright-annealing services available. We provide quality-compliant materials with quick response and technical assistance for your alloy bar and rod requirements.
17‑7 PH has ~17% chromium, ~7% nickel, ~1% aluminum, along with titanium and niobium. Tensile strength in the H1025 aged condition is approximately 1,152 MPa, yield strength around 1,021 MPa, and elongation about 6%. Hardness is 44–49 HRC. The alloy shows good ductility and weldability when solution-treated. Corrosion resistance is high in marine and industrial environments. It complies with AMS 5658/5659 and ASTM A705 requirements for precipitation-hardening stainless steel.
