Luois Metals provides Stainless Steel 15‑5 PH bars and rods—a general-purpose precipitation-hardening alloy—from our Houston facility. Compliant with AMS 5604 and ASTM A693, 15‑5 PH is delivered in tempers H900–H1150 and a range of diameters. 15‑5 PH has ~15% chromium, ~5% nickel, ~3% copper, and ~0.3–0.7% niobium/ tantaly, with trace amounts of aluminum and titanium. In the H1025 condition, it provides tensile strength of about 1,050 MPa, yield strength of 930 MPa, and elongation of ~8%. Hardness is ~42–46 HRC. The alloy has good corrosion resistance and weldability, together with dimensional stability in the aged condition. It meets AMS 5604 and ASTM A693 requirements for precipitation-hardening stainless steel.
