Luois Metals maintains high-performance Stainless Steel 310 bars and rods from Houston— a high-temperature austenitic alloy for use in hostile thermal conditions. With high chromium (25%) and nickel (20%) compositions, 310 stainless has strength and scaling resistance up to 2100°F (1150°C). Manufactured in accordance with ASTM A276/A479 standards in bright-annealed finish, our 310 bars/rods adhere to tough industry standards for high-temperature processing. Steel 310 contains ~25% chromium and ~20% nickel, ~0.25% carbon, and traces of silicon and manganese. It usually has tensile strength of 515–760 MPa and yield strength of 205–310 MPa. It has 30–40% elongation and hardness ~217 HB. The alloy resists scaling and oxidation at high temperatures. It provides good creep strength and stress rupture resistance at high temperatures. Not heat treatable. It meets ASTM A276 / A479.
