Stainless Steel 316L Hex Bars/Rods are molybdenum-containing low-carbon austenitic stainless steels containing Chromium (16–18%), Nickel (10–14%), Molybdenum (2–3%), and up to 0.03% Carbon. The alloy provides good corrosion resistance in chloride-rich and acidic media, with a tensile strength of 485–700 MPa and a yield strength of 170–310 MPa. SS 316L is not magnetic in annealed form, has excellent weldability, and is resistant to sensitization on welding, and hence is used for fabrication and structural use in aggressive environments.
