Titanium Grade 4 is composed of 99% titanium with controlled amounts of oxygen, iron, carbon, and nitrogen. It provides high tensile strength of about 550–600 MPa and yield strength of 485 MPa. Grade 4 has good corrosion resistance, especially in marine and oxidizing chemical environments, and good biocompatibility. Although less formable than lower grades, it still has high durability and weldability. With its combination of strength and resistance to corrosion, it is the choice for applications requiring high mechanical performance and chemical resistance without alloying additions.
