Louis Metals is a leading manufacturer and supplier of Houston-based Titanium Grade 11 Bars and Rods in the USA. With its superior corrosion resistance and high ductility, Grade 11 titanium is best suited for chemical processing and marine exposures. It is comparable to commercially pure Grade 1 titanium but with the inclusion of a minimal amount of palladium for superior corrosion resistance, particularly in reducing as well as mildly oxidizing environments. Our ASTM-grade 11 rods and bars are produced for consistent quality and performance in demanding industrial applications. Louis Metals makes fast delivery and sizes to order available to suit project requirements.
Titanium Grade 11 is composed of titanium with minor additions of palladium (0.12–0.25%) for improved corrosion resistance. It possesses superior mechanical properties, such as tensile strength of about 345 MPa and yield strength of about 275 MPa. It has outstanding ductility and toughness, particularly at low temperatures and in chloride environments. Grade 11 offers superior weldability and formability, enabling its use in intricate shapes and structures. Its corrosion resistance is superior in acid and saltwater environments with the addition of palladium.

Common titanium grades for bar manufacturing include Grade 1, Grade 2, Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V), Grade 7, Grade 9, Grade 11, and Grade 12, each offering unique strength and corrosion resistance.
Titanium Grade 11 Bars and Rods exhibit excellent resistance to galvanic corrosion due to the addition of palladium, making them suitable for environments involving dissimilar metals and harsh chemical conditions.
Titanium Grade 11 Bars/Rods are suitable in applications where high corrosion resistance is demanded, such as in severe chemical environments. They are widely utilized in heat exchangers, pressure vessels, piping systems, and in desalination plants. The inclusion of palladium provides this alloy with higher resistance to crevice corrosion and pitting in seawater and acidic media. Grade 11 titanium is preferred in the chemical processing industry, marine engineering, and electrochemical applications. It‘s also employed in pollution control devices and reactor vessels. Louis Metals provides Grade 11 titanium of different sizes in accordance with ASTM B348 and other international standards.
