Titanium Grade 3 is made of 99.2% pure titanium with minor constituents like oxygen, nitrogen, and iron. It possesses a tensile strength of approximately 585 MPa and yield strength of 380 MPa. In comparison with Grades 1 and 2, it provides higher mechanical strength along with good corrosion resistance. Grade 3 titanium is also noted for excellent weldability, moderate formability, and high oxidation and chloride-induced corrosion resistance. These characteristics render it ideal for structural use where strength and corrosion resistance are needed.
