Stainless Steel 904L Square Bars/Rods are made up of 25% chrome, 4.5% nickel, 1.5% copper, and a small amount of molybdenum and other elements. The alloy has great resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking in severe chemical environments. It has tensile strength of about 520–750 MPa and yield strength of 200–350 MPa. Stainless Steel 904L offers excellent resistance against sulfuric, phosphoric, and hydrochloric acids and is suited for corrosive service. Its high nickel and chromium content gives it exceptional resistance to oxidation as well as improved mechanical properties at higher temperatures.
