310S Square Bars/Rods are low-carbon austenitic stainless steels made up of Chromium (24–26%), Nickel (19–22%), and Carbon (max 0.08%). The high nickel and chromium content offers excellent resistance to carburization as well as oxidation up to 1100°C. SS 310S provides tensile strength ranging from 520–750 MPa, yield strength of approximately 205 MPa, and satisfactory creep and stress rupture strength. The lower carbon content offers better weldability and less risk of sensitization and thus is applicable for welded parts which are exposed to high heat and corrosive environment.
