Stainless Steel 431 Square Bars/Rods are martensitic stainless steels with significant constituent elements being Chromium (15–17%), Nickel (1.25–2.5%), and trace levels of Manganese, Silicon, Phosphorus, Sulfur, and Carbon. The alloy has high tensile strength of 850–1000 MPa, yield strength of around 520 MPa, and good ductility with elongation in the range of around 15%. It has a hardness of around 250 HB and has superior toughness and torque strength.
