Stainless Steel 430 Square Bars/Rods are ferritic stainless steels of significant composition of Chromium (16–18%) and low Carbon (≤ 0.12%) with traces of Manganese, Silicon, Phosphorus, and Sulfur. The bars have moderate tensile strength of 450–600 MPa and yield strength of approximately 275 MPa. They are of hardness of 150–200 HB and have good ductility as well as formability. SS 430 has good oxidation and corrosion resistance in mildly corrosive environments and is well suited for applications that require magnetic properties, heat resistance, and cost-effective performance without compromising strength.
