Stainless Steel 347H Flat Bars and Rods are formed from a stabilized austenitic stainless steel alloy with 17–19% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and columbium (niobium) added for enhanced intergranular corrosion resistance. The increased carbon level (0.04–0.10%) over 347 improves creep strength and renders 347H apt for elevated temperature service. These bars provide a tensile strength of approximately 485 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, and elongation of around 40%. The flat form offers great structural stability and is simple to machine, weld, and fabricate, making it suitable for high-heat situations where precision and resistance are important.
