Stainless Steel 321H Flat Bar is an austenitic stainless steel version with higher carbon content than 321, at 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and titanium for stabilizing against carbide precipitation. The additional high carbon content (0.04–0.10%) provides its higher temperature strength and creep resistance. It possesses tensile strength of about 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. This alloy has very good resistance to oxidation and corrosion at temperatures up to 900°C (1652°F). Its flat shape ensures structural homogeneity and can be machined, welded, and fabricated easily for structural as well as mechanical use.
