Stainless Steel 321 Flat Bar is a titanium-stabilized austenitic stainless steel containing 17–19% chromium, 9–12% nickel, and supplemental titanium to avoid intergranular corrosion following welding. It possesses excellent oxidation and scaling resistance at elevated temperatures. With tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of approximately 40%, 321 stainless steel retains mechanical strength in uninterrupted service to the range 870–900°C. The flat form gives constant thickness and is ideal for fabrication, reinforcement against structural loads, and uses requiring resistance to heat, pressure, and corrosion over a period of time.
