What is Aluminium 5052 Forgings?

5052 has 2.2–2.8% Magnesium and up to 0.25% Chromium. It provides tensile strength 210–260 MPa and yield strength approximately 160–215 MPa. The alloy is not heat-treatable but can be strengthened through cold working. It provides outstanding resistance to marine environments, industrial chemicals, and salt spray, good formability, and moderate machinability.
