Our forgings are designed for severe structural applications where mechanical performance is critical, providing reliability even at high-load and high-temperature applications.
Aluminium 2014 has copper (3.9–5%) as well as manganese and magnesium. It offers a tensile strength of 430–520 MPa in the T6 temper. The alloy is heat-treatable and possesses good toughness and fatigue strength but average corrosion resistance. It is excellent in machinability and responds favorably to forging, particularly when post-treatment is executed for strength.
