446 Hollow Bars consist of 23–27% chromium, with a very low carbon content (<0.20%) and trace molybdenum, silicon, and manganese contents. They provide moderate tensile strength (415–585 MPa) and satisfactory creep resistance at high temperatures. 446 is very resistant to oxidation, sulfidation, and heat cycling up to 1100°C. Ferritic structure provides good dimensional stability but reduced ductility over austenitic grades.
