What is Stainless Steel 347H Hollow Bar

Stainless Steel 347H Hollow Bar is a chromium, nickel, and columbium (niobium)-containing stabilized austenitic stainless steel alloy with the addition of carbon for improved high-temperature strength. Common chemical makeup is 17–19% chromium, 9–13% nickel, and elevated carbon content (0.04–0.10%) compared to 347 standard. Mechanical characteristics are tensile strength of 485 MPa, yield strength of 170 MPa, and elongation of about 40%. The alloy retains strength at high temperatures and is resistant to intergranular corrosion. Its hollow structure provides weight reduction and material savings and is well suited to fabrication, welding, and thermal-resistant part design.
