Stainless Steel 317 Hollow Bar is a molybdenum-bearing, high-alloy austenitic stainless steel with excellent resistance to chemical attack, crevice corrosion, and pitting. It has around 18–20% chromium, 11–15% nickel, and 3–4% molybdenum, and the ability to resist acidic and chloride environments is excellent. Mechanical properties are a tensile strength of approximately 515 MPa, yield strength of 205 MPa, and elongation of approximately 35%.
