Luois Metals provides EN‑36C alloy steel bars from Houston, specifically designed for parts requiring high strength and mechanical wear resistance. Manufactured under ASTM A322 and BS 970 specifications, EN‑36C is a nickel-chromium steel that is renowned for toughness and fatigue strength. Our inventory offers a range of sizes and tempers, accompanied by quality testing and certification. Fast delivery and technical support serve automotive, aerospace, and bearing businesses searching for reliable, high-performance alloy bars. Luois Metals prepares materials for machining, heat treatment, or forging to your exact specifications.
EN‑36C has 0.35–0.42% carbon, 1.10–1.40% nickel, 0.40–0.60% chromium, 0.15–0.30% molybdenum, and 0.60–0.90% manganese. It provides tensile strength of 700–850 MPa, yield strength of 550–650 MPa, and elongation of 10–14%. Brinell hardness is 217–269 HB. The alloy has superior toughness and resistance against fatigue. It enables quench and temper treatments, leading to powerful, resistant microstructures. EN‑36C is comparable to ASTM and BS grading and is used for heavy-duty mechanical and structural applications.

Carbon Steel EN-36C Bars and Rods offer high strength, durability, and excellent wear resistance, making them ideal for heavy-duty applications.
These bars are commonly used in automotive, manufacturing, and construction industries for producing components that undergo high mechanical stress.
EN-36C Bars and Rods are used in the production of bearings, bushings, and structural components that require excellent toughness and fatigue resistance.
EN‑36C bars are widely employed in the production of crankshafts, journal shafts, high-strength bolts, marine parts, and heavy-duty machinery components. Its superior resistance to wear and fatigue renders it suitable for automotive drive shafts, landing gear components, and transmission gears. In aerospace and defence, it‘s applied in hydraulic actuators and structural assemblies. EN‑36C finds applications in bearing housings, forging dies, and fasteners, particularly high-performance fasteners. Its combination of strength, toughness, and wear resistance facilitates long service life in severe–duty rotational and impact service.
