Louis Metals provides Carbon Steel EN‑351 bars that are engineered to suit applications where high strength and toughness are demanded. EN‑351 contains nickel alloying with enhanced hardenability and fatigue resistance. Bars are shipped in quenched and tempered grades to comply with ASTM B446 standards, with soundness in severe mechanical applications.
EN‑351 alloy has around 0.10–0.20% carbon, 0.60–1.00% manganese, 0.40–0.80% chromium, and nickel and molybdenum. Following heat treatment, tensile strengths of 800–900 MPa are achieved with hardness values in the range of HB 260–310. The alloy offers good impact resistance and toughness.
