Vipul Sheets and Plates is a well-known manufacturer and supplier of Stainless Steel 316 Forgings in Delhi, India. SS 316 is a molybdenum-containing austenitic stainless steel, suitable for use where there is a high demand for corrosion resistance and high strength. Our 316 forgings are manufactured with superior-grade raw materials and high-tech forging technology to guarantee high strength and accuracy in dimensions. These materials are typically applied in marine, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries where crevice corrosion and pitting resistance is crucial. Vipul provides forged products in several shapes including rings, flanges, and blocks, as per the specifications of the client as well as industry standards.
SS 316 has an approximate composition of 16–18% Chromium, 10–14% Nickel, and 2–3% Molybdenum with ≤0.08% Carbon. 316 steel that has been forged offers tensile strength of 515–690 MPa, yield strength of about 205 MPa, and great ductility (elongation ~40%). Molybdenum adds resistance to chlorides and acid atmospheres. The forgings are weldable, corrosion-resistant, and mechanically strong in high-pressure and temperature environments. 316 can be hot forged and then annealed to enhance toughness and is thus best suited for vital load-bearing parts in severe conditions.
