Stainless Steel 904L Rectangular Bars consist of 25% chromium, 4.5% nickel, 1.5% copper, and trace elements including molybdenum that increase corrosion resistance. These bars possess high tensile strength (520–750 MPa) and yield strength (200–350 MPa) and provide very good resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking. Stainless Steel 904L also provides better resistance to reducing and oxidizing acids. The rectangular shape makes them easy to machine and fabricate, and the bars possess very good mechanical properties at higher temperatures, thus suitable for severe duty in severe chemical conditions.
