Aluminium 5005 has 0.5–1.1% Magnesium and minor content of Manganese, Iron, and Silicon. It yields tensile strength of 190–240 MPa and yield strength of 110–180 MPa. It has moderate strength, very good corrosion resistance, and fair weldability and hence is used for functional as well as decorative applications.
