Super Duplex Steel Hex Bars contain around 25% chromium, 4% molybdenum, and 7% nickel, with trace amounts of nitrogen and other alloying components. This composition confers superior strength (tensile strength of ~550–800 MPa), pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking resistance. The hex bars are 250–300 HB hardness and possess good ductility. Due to their superior resistance to corrosive conditions, they also maintain good performance at high temperatures (up to 300°C). Strength and rigidity are increased due to the hexagonal geometry, and hence these bars find successful use in machining and structural applications.
