Super Duplex Steel Bright Bars consist mainly of chromium (24–26%), nickel (6–8%), and molybdenum (3–5%), with addition of nitrogen, manganese, and iron. They show good tensile strength (up to 800 MPa), high yield strength (550 MPa min), and excellent pitting and crevice corrosion resistance. The bars show good weldability and workability even under high-stress conditions. Their mechanical stability and corrosion resistance, particularly in chloride-rich media, are improved by the two-phase microstructure (austenite-ferrite). Their thermal expansion is low, and thermal conductivity is high, which makes them suitable for severe operation environments.
