Houston, USA-based Louis Metals is one of the primary producers and suppliers of Titanium Grade 5 Forgings or Ti-6Al-4V. Grade 5 is the most common titanium alloy that possesses an outstanding combination of high strength, corrosion resistance, and fatigue life. Our forgings are made through advanced forging methods to provide consistent quality, good grain structure, and close dimensional tolerances. Suited for high-performance applications, Grade 5 forgings by Louis Metals cater to aerospace, medical, marine, and industrial industries. Our focus on accuracy, performance, and customer satisfaction makes us a well-relied-upon supplier of high-performance titanium forged parts.
Titanium Grade 5 Forgings contain about 90% titanium, 6% aluminum, and 4% vanadium. The alloy contains excellent tensile strength (895–950 MPa), yield strength (~828 MPa), and good fatigue resistance. It retains mechanical properties at elevated temperatures and provides excellent corrosion resistance in oxidizing conditions. Although it is strong, Grade 5 is easily machinable and heat-treatable for improved performance. With a melting point of approximately 1600°C and low density (4.43 g/cm³), it has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio for structural and high-performance applications.

Durability of Titanium Grade 5 forgings is ensured by proper heat treatment, controlled forging process, precise die design, alloy composition, and maintaining optimal surface finish, enhancing strength, corrosion resistance, and fatigue resistance.
Titanium Gr 5 forgings are commonly used in aerospace, automotive, medical, marine, and defense industries, providing high strength, corrosion resistance, and lightweight properties for critical components and high-performance applications.
Closed-die forging in Titanium Gr 5 production involves shaping titanium by compressing it between two shaped dies, ensuring precise dimensions, high strength, and improved material properties for demanding applications.
Titanium Grade 5 Forgings find extensive use in high-pressure, critical applications in a variety of industries. In aerospace, Grade 5 forgings are used in engine parts, landing gears, and structural components owing to their strength and thermal resistance. In the medical field, they are suitable for orthopedic implants, surgical instruments, and dental appliances due to their biocompatibility. Grade 5 forgings are utilized by marine engineers for corrosion-free parts like shafts and propeller systems. The automotive and wear-resistant industries appreciate them for high-performance components subject to pressure and heat. Titanium Grade 5 forgings deliver wear resistance, accuracy, and performance in the most extreme environments.
