In order to improve creep strength and corrosion resistance, Alloy Steel F92 Bars/Rods, a modified 9Cr-1Mo alloy, are enhanced with extra elements such as tungsten, niobium, vanadium, and nitrogen. Superior mechanical qualities of this steel include yield strength of about 585 MPa and tensile strength of up to 860–1035 MPa. At higher temperatures, it also provides outstanding oxidation resistance and creep rupture strength. After appropriate heat treatment, the alloy can also be welded and used in high-pressure, high-temperature settings.
