Alloy Steel F22 Bars contain 2.25% chromium and 1% molybdenum, along with additional carbon, manganese, phosphorus, and sulfur. These contents help provide outstanding tensile strength (up to 620 MPa), high creep resistance, and stable yield strength (at least 310 MPa). The chromium-molybdenum alloy provides oxidation, corrosion, and thermal fatigue resistance. F22 bars have superior hardenability and mechanical toughness at high temperatures. They also retain weldability and formability with suitable heat treatment, which makes them most appropriate for pressure-bound uses that need long service life with environmental degradation resistance.
