We are a leading producer and supplier of Alloy Steel F5 Bars and Rods in Houston, USA. We are renowned for providing high-quality alloy steel products, and we produce F5 bars with accuracy and according to international standards. These bars provide superior thermal resistance and are suitable to apply in high-temperature conditions. Our F5 bars are manufactured with fine surface finish and precise dimensions, ideal for applications where strength and durability under heat and pressure are needed. Louis Metals is dedicated to providing quality materials for applications in power generation, refineries, and petrochemical processing plant environments.
Alloy Steel F5 Bars consist primarily of chromium (4–6%) and molybdenum (0.45–0.65%), with iron as the base metal. This alloy increases their high-temperature strength and resistance to oxidation. The mechanical properties comprise about 485 MPa tensile strength, yield strength about 275 MPa, and excellent impact resistance. The addition of molybdenum enhances creep resistance, with chromium enhancing corrosion and scaling resistance. F5 bars also possess excellent machinability and weldability when heat treated, and they are suitable for service under thermal cycling environments and high-pressure systems.

Alloy Steel F5 Bars and Rods are widely used in aerospace, power generation, and petrochemical industries for high-temperature applications like turbine blades and heat exchangers.
These bars offer exceptional strength, high-temperature stability, and resistance to oxidation, making them ideal for demanding environments.
The tensile strength of Alloy Steel F5 Bars and Rods ranges from 620-850 MPa, ensuring excellent durability and performance.
Alloy Steel F5 Bars and Rods find applications mainly in those industries that demand heat and corrosion resistance at moderate temperatures. Standard applications cover pressure vessels, boiler parts, heat exchangers, and power plant and refinery piping systems. Their thermal resistance and mechanical strength render them apt for furnace parts, petrochemical processing, and steam turbines. Besides, bars of F5 alloy are employed for use in high-temperature service components and flanges in chemical plants. Their resistance to stress and oxidation renders Alloy Steel F5 Bars a reliable option for long-term structural and pressure-carrying use in harsh environments.
