Nitronic 60 bar and rod are a corrosion-resistant high strength of alloy. Nitronic 60 is mostly an iron (Fe) base containing some crucial elements like 20-23% chromium (Cr), 8-13% nickel (Ni), 13-17% manganese (Mn), along with small compositions of silicon, 1.00%, sulfur 0.01%, phosphorus 0.045%, carbon 0.08%, and nitrogen, 0.10-0.20%. This alloy provides excellent resistance to corrosion, pitting, and oxidation, and improved mechanical properties like high tensile strength up to 110,000 psi or 758 MPa, yield strength of 80,000 psi or 552 MPa, and good hardness. Nitronic 60 maintains strength at high temperatures, offering it the ability to function well in hostile environments like marine and chemical applications.
