In Houston, Texas, Louis Metals is a reputable producer and supplier of high-performance Nitronic 32 Bar and Rod. An austenitic stainless steel that has been nitrogen-strengthened, Nitronic 32 provides a well-balanced mix of strength, corrosion resistance, and formability. Our Nitronic 32 bars and rods are designed to satisfy the exacting specifications of the mining, construction, transportation, and marine industries. Louis Metals provides dependable, superior solutions for demanding applications with exceptional surface finish and dimensional accuracy. We are dedicated to offering long-lasting stainless steel products that guarantee improved functionality and lasting value under challenging operating circumstances.
In order to improve strength and resistance to corrosion, Nitronic 32 Bar and Rod normally contains 18–20% chromium, 4–6% manganese, 3–5% nickel, and trace amounts of nitrogen and molybdenum. In addition to having good ductility and toughness, this alloy has a tensile strength of about 620 MPa and a yield strength of about 310 MPa. Compared to 304 stainless steel, nitronic 32 has superior mechanical strength while still having outstanding formability and weldability. Because of its improved work-hardening properties, it can be used in a variety of settings where strength and resistance to wear and corrosion are required.

Suitable welding processes for Nitronic 32 Bar include Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), and Metal Inert Gas (MIG) welding, ensuring good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance.
Nitronic 32 rod is available in various sizes, typically ranging from 1/8" to 6" in diameter. Common finishes include cold drawn, hot rolled, and polished for enhanced corrosion resistance.
Yes, Nitronic 32 bar can be welded using conventional methods such as TIG or MIG welding. Proper filler material and pre/post-weld heat treatment are recommended for optimal results.
Applications requiring a robust, corrosion-resistant material with superior fabrication qualities frequently use nitronic 32 bars and rods. Conveyor systems, mining screens, marine hardware, structural supports, and transportation components are among the common applications. It is perfect for high-traffic or abrasive environments because of its exceptional resistance to wear and impact. Nitronic 32 is an affordable substitute for higher alloy steels because it also works well in atmospheric and mildly corrosive environments. It is used in both welded and formed structures across industries such as automotive, construction, wastewater treatment, and material handling, where strength and longevity are essential.

We provide products that come with both mill test certificates and third-party test certificates, ensuring the highest standards of quality and compliance.
