When subjected to oil-quenching and tempering, OHNS steel reaches a Rockwell hardness of 57–62 HRC, showcasing remarkable dimensional stability. In its annealed state, the typical tensile strength can surpass 800 MPa and significantly increase after heat treatment. This alloy is known for its good machinability and polishability, and it can be flame-hardened or induction-hardened, making it perfect for tooling applications that require durable edges and intricate details.
