Louis Metals markets Nimonic 263 rods and bars, designed for high-temperature aerospace use—most famously the Concorde‘s Olympus engine combustion chamber rings. The alloy offers superior high-temperature strength, corrosion and oxidation resistance in tough environments.
Nimonic 263 has ≥19% chromium, ≥19% cobalt, variable molybdenum, 0.6% aluminum, and 1.9–2.4% titanium. It exhibits very good creep-rupture resistance and strength at temperatures greater than 800 °C
