Hastelloy C‑276 is a nickel–chromium–molybdenum–tungsten alloy with approximately 16% chromium, 15% molybdenum, and 4% tungsten, with iron and cobalt. It has superior resistance against pitting, crevice corrosion, and intergranular attack. Tensile strength is 550–965 MPa, yield strength is 240–620 MPa, and elongation is 30–60%. Brinell hardness is 160–240 HB. C‑276 is mechanically and chemically stable over a broad temperature range (cryogenic to 600 °C), conforming to ASTM B574 and ASTM 5777.

Yes, Hastelloy C276 bars can be customized to meet specific size and length requirements. This flexibility allows for tailored solutions in various industrial applications.
Hastelloy C276 bars and rods perform exceptionally well in high-temperature environments, maintaining their strength and resistance to oxidation. They are ideal for applications exposed to elevated temperatures, such as chemical processing and power generation.
Bars and rods of Hastelloy C‑276 find extensive application in chemical-processing equipment like pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and reactor vessels, particularly where exposed to chlorides and oxidizing agents. They form the backbone of pollution control systems, waste-treatment facilities, and acid recovery units. Seawater systems, marine hardware, and equipment for flue-gas desulfurization also employ C‑276. In petroleum and gas, it protects against acid gas, sour-water units, and offshore platforms. Its wide-range corrosion resistance renders it a highly sought-after material for industrial processes where mixed and aggressive media are found.
