Louis Metals provides Beryllium Copper C17510 rods and bars from our Houston, USA plant, with high-performance alloy material for extreme uses. C17510 has outstanding conductivity and strength, along with good electrical and thermal conductivity, making it an ideal material for use in resistance-welding and EMI shielding applications. Bars are made to ASTM B441 and B534 specifications, providing precision and metallurgical consistency for tool-making, aerospace, and industrial sectors.
C17510 contains more than 99.5% copper, 0.2–0.6% beryllium, and 1.4–2.2% nickel and provides yields of more than 600 MPa in age-hardened state and hardness equal to that of tool steel (Rockwell 100)
. It provides electrical conductivity of about 45–60% IACS, possessing excellent ductility and fatigue life. The alloy is precipitation-hardenable, weldable, and possesses toughness in a broad temperature range.
