Louis Metals offers the C17500 beryllium-copper alloy in bar and rod stock, with outstanding combinations of strength and conductivity. Produced to meet ASTM B441 standards, our C17500 stock is a trusted performer for precise electric and mechanical uses. The bars are highly machinable and hard, ideal for molds, springs, and connectors in industrial and aerospace applications.
Beryllium copper C17500 has 0.15–0.20% beryllium and minor cobalt or nickel, with tensile strengths in excess of 900 MPa when age-hardened. Electrical conductivity is 45–60% IACS. It is still machinable, weldable, and possesses good fatigue, wear, and thermal resistance across a variety of service temperatures.
